Scrip Ministry

Have you ever bought a gift card for family or friends? Have you ever used a gift card in a store? If so, you have used Scrip, or translated – ‘Substitute Money’. Living Lord has joined with thousands of non-profit organizations around the country with a Scrip program here at the church.

The revenue potential for our congregation from this program is substantial, but it depends on your participation. We are asking you to buy gift cards from us. In addition, however, we would like you to buy and use these cards yourself for everyday purchases you would normally make. If you are not already using these cards for your regular shopping, we ask that you try using just one card with one merchant this month. Get used to the idea of using a gift card for your own purchases. Then, slowly expand the number of cards you use each month.  When you purchase gift cards through Living Lord we earn between 1% and 14%.

How about that lunch at Bob Evans after church on Sunday. Or use your $10 Starbucks card to pay for your next Frappacino. Going to Lowes or Home Depot this month? Do you buy clothes from Macy’s or Wal-Mart? Get gas from Exxon, Shell, Wawa? Do you get your medications from Walgreens or CVS? 6% goes to the church! The list goes on… If there is a gift card for a national store that you want and we don’t have it in stock we should be able to order it for you.

Revenue from this program will directly benefit the church and the congregation. Our church has a wonderful reputation for service and outreach to the community. However, we also must take care of the needs within our walls. Funds from this program will provide for equipment, programs, and activities within the church itself…keeping our foundation strong so that Living Lord can continue its outstanding work in the community.
