Music Ministry

Music Ministry at Living Lord Lutheran Church

Our Music Ministry is multifaceted and seeks to incorporate the various gifts among us. We have three formal groups at present: a choir, a praise band, and a bell choir. In addition, we encourage solos and small ensembles in our worship.

We worship with a variety of music, ranging from the Renaissance to the present and across style boundaries.

Our 8:00 and 11:15 services use organ or piano and hymns from the hymnal, Evangelical Lutheran Worship. During season, this is where the choir and bell choir are, and year round we have solos and small ensembles. Styles are varied, according to the gifts of our musicians.

The 9:15 service features our praise band, By Grace, which consists of singers, guitars and other stringed instruments, percussion, and keyboard. The music is mostly in folk and rock styles, including praise music from its beginnings to the present, St. Louis Jesuits, Marty Haugen and other contemporary musicians.

We welcome new musicians of all ages, as well as participation from our seasonal members.

Both our Chancel Choir and By Grace are led by our Minister of Music, Linda Petersen. The Bell Choir (JuBELLation), is led by Greg Fisher.
